National Grief Awareness Week: Join Me at Cranleigh Library
Sharon Rosenbloom hosts a Grief Café at Cranleigh Library on 3rd December at 2.00pm for National Grief Awareness Week. A walk-in event with tea, conversation and understanding for anyone carrying loss.

I’m hosting a Grief Café at Cranleigh Library on Wednesday 3rd December at 2.00pm, as part of National Grief Awareness Week running from 2 to 8 December.
It’s a walk-in event with tea, biscuits and conversation in a space where grief doesn’t need explaining. No registration required, no agenda to follow. Just an afternoon where people who have experienced loss can sit together and talk or not talk as they choose.
My book Widowed with Kids explores what it’s like when life splits into before and after. The Grief Café follows the same principle: showing up for people who are figuring out how to keep going when someone they love isn’t here anymore.
The Good Grief Trust supports the event, an organisation dedicated to making sure people dealing with loss can find the support they need. Their work recognises that grief doesn’t follow a timeline or fit into neat categories. It’s messy, it’s personal and it affects each person differently.
If you are in Cranleigh on 3rd December and you are carrying loss, you are welcome to join us. If you know someone who might appreciate having somewhere to go where their grief is understood rather than managed, this is it.
Sometimes the most helpful thing isn’t advice or solutions. It’s sitting with people who get it over a cup of tea.
